The story of Team Lamborghini Engineering and its V12 engine.

Engineer Franco Antoniazzi of Oral Engineering, a company specialising in engine prototyping, commissioned a documentary during the restoration of five Formula 1 cars from the 1990s. The film traces the brief but intense history of Team Lamborghini Engineering and the V12 engine used by leading teams such as Lotus and Ligier.

Team Lamborghini was established under Chrysler, with Audetto as president and Mauro Forghieri, the legendary Italian engine designer, as technical director. Active from 1987 to 1993, it worked for various car manufacturers and raced directly in Formula 1 in the early 1990s. The racing project was later closed at the end of the season due to a lack of funding.

These events became a documentary, told through first-hand accounts, archive footage and the workshop restoration of five original cars from that period. It was a moving experience that took us back into the competitive world of racing, rekindling not only the engines of the restored cars but also the memories and passions of the people behind Team Lamborghini.

Script, art direction and direction by Andrea Barbieri with Mirco Marmiroli; filming and editing by Giovanni Bursi; produced by Bipiuci.
