Discovering the origins of gelato flavours through a sensory game.

Inside the Carpigiani Gelato Museum, the world’s first museum dedicated to the history, culture and technology of gelato, a sensory area was created, with three stations — sight, taste and smell. They invite visitors to explore visually and through scent, discovering some of the key ingredients and aromas used to make artisan gelato.

The installation forms part of the museum journey, which takes visitors along a timeline spanning more than 10,000 years of gelato history, from prehistoric times and shrb, the precursor of sorbet, to the development of today’s gelato-making technology. Bipiuci created the graphic design for the Sensory Game installation and the entire exhibition journey.
